Mason Raises $2K+ at Best Buddies Challenge

Last month, the George Mason High School chapter of Best Buddies participated in the Audi Best Buddies Challenge in Washington D.C. to raise money and awareness for Best Buddies. Their efforts raised more than $2,000.

Best Buddies works to create opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Students from Mason and Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School, as well as Mason faculty and parents, joined the team on a 5K walk through the streets of D.C. and for a post-5K victory celebration and awards ceremony.
