WWII Fighter Pilot to Speak at Vietnam Vets Meeting

Chapter 227 of Vietnam Veterans of America will host World War II fighter pilot Richard Kirkland at its Nov. 15 meeting at Neighbor’s Restaurant at 7:30 p.m.

Kirkland, a Vienna resident, will share his experiences as an Army fighter pilot in the Pacific Theater and as an original Dust Off helicopter pilot in the Korean War.

The chapter’s is hosting this open-to-the-public meeting to fulfill its founding principle of “Never Again Shall One Generation of Veterans Abandon Another.”

The general public and all veterans are invited. Admission to the meeting is free. Neighbor’s Restaurant is located at 262D Cedar Lane, Vienna.
