Volleyball

The volleyball team hosted and defeated Strasburg High School, 3-1, last Thursday, then traveled to Madison County High School Tuesday and added another victory to their season record with their 3-2 win. The team will host Rappahannock County High School Thursday and Manassas Park High School next Tuesday.

Cross Country

The boys and girls cross country teams took part in the Glory Days Invitational at Bull Run Regional Park last Saturday. Mason had more than 60 runners in seven races in a competition that included nearly 70 participating schools. The freshman girls group had a strong showing with a fourth-place finish. The freshman boys placed 20th as a team. The girls JV group also placed fourth, and the boys JV group placed 16th. The boys varsity team placed 21st and girls varsity team placed 13th. The runners will compete next at the District meet, set for next Wednesday at Rappahannock County High School.
