Va. Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Brief Arguments on Anglican Appeal

The Supreme Court of Virginia yesterday notified the involved parties that it will hear brief, 10-minute oral arguments on Oct. 16 in the appeal by the breakaway Falls Church Anglicans of the Fairfax County Circuit Court ruling that mandated occupied Episcopalian church properties, including the historic Falls Church, back to the control of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.

The arguments will establish whether or not the Supreme Court should accept the case for a thorough review and ruling which, if it did after a few weeks of deliberation, would occur sometime in the first half of next year.
