A kitchen fire in an apartment on the third floor of the Pearson Square on S. Maple in Falls Church was quickly contained tonight, and all residents were back in their homes by 9:30 p.m. The fire destroyed the kitchen area of one apartment, but sprinkler systems deployed and firefighters quickly extinguished it.
