Workshop to Discuss Basics Of Composting, Provide Tools

Participants can learn to make rich organic compost from yard trimmings and leaves at a Composting for Beginners workshop Saturday.

The program will include a composting demonstration, making compost tea, proper food waste composting and vermicomposting (composting with worms). Participants will take home a free portable yard waste compost bin.

The workshop will take place at the Cherry Hill Picnic Shelter, 312 Park Ave., Falls Church, from 10 – 11:30 a.m.
