F.C. Events Set for Bike and Pedestrian Awareness Week

The City of Falls Church Police Department, Drive Smart Virginia, and Bike Virginia are joining forces to make Virginia’s roadways the safest in the nation for bicyclists, pedestrians and motorists. During Virginia Bicyclist and Pedestrian Awareness Week, this week, the City Police Department will provide a number of educational and awareness events, and will be actively patrolling the streets and trails.

Events scheduled to mark the Bicyclist and Pedestrian Awareness Week include a bike along with the Falls Church Police Thursday (those interested can meet at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St., at 7 p.m.), and free bike safety inspections and helmet fittings Saturday (those interested can stop by the Community Center between10 a.m. and 2 p.m.).
