City of F.C. Crime Report: September 6 – 12, 2012

City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for August 28 – September 3, 2012

NOTE: This report is not a definitive list of all criminal activity and is subject to change upon investigation.

Panhandling, 1000 block E. Broad St. On Aug. 28, Terri L. Hannold, 47, of Herndon, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Domestic Assault, 900 block W. Broad St. On Aug. 29, a male, 37, of the City of Falls Church, was later arrested for Assaulting a Family Member.

Larceny from Building, 132 W. Broad St. (Dogwood Tavern) On Aug. 28, unknown suspects stole silverware from the restaurant.

Public Drunkenness, Resisting Arrest, and Underage Possession of Alcohol, 800 block W. Broad St. On Aug. 29, officers responded to the area for a report of a fight. Officers made contact with a man who appeared intoxicated. Upon affecting the arrest, the man resisted. A male, 18, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness, Resisting Arrest, and Underage Possession of Alcohol.

Driving Under the Influence, 1200 block W. Broad St. On Aug. 29, officers responded to the area for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One of the drivers, a male, 22, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Trespassing, 800 block N. Roosevelt St. (Oakwood Cemetary) On Aug. 30, a male, 51, no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.

Larceny from Vehicle, Tampering with Auto, 300 block Shadow Walk On Aug. 31, police received a report of an unknown suspect(s) entering a vehicle parked in an unsecure garage and stealing loose change. Another vehicle parked in an unsecure garage was found tampered without any items stolen.

Larceny from Vehicle, 300 block W. Columbia St. On Aug. 31, an unknown suspect(s) stole cash from two unlocked vehicles.

Sex Offense, 1208 W. Broad St. (Massage Envy) On Aug. 31, a man attempted to make sexual advances while nude. Investigation continues.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Aug. 31, a male, 31, of Springfield, was arrested and released on a summons for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Driving Under the Influence, and Narcotics Violation, 1000 block W. Broad St. On Sept. 1, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 37, of Dale City, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. A passenger, a male, 24, of Silver Spring, MD, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6795 #2 Wilson Blvd. (Café Gio) On Sept. 1, a male, 56, of Peekskill, NY, was arrested and released on a summons for Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.

Robbery, 6607 Wilson Blvd. On Sept. 1, the suspect removed money from an acquaintance’s person after demanding money that was owed to the suspect in the parking lot. No weapons were involved.

Narcotics Violation, 300 W. Broad St. (Stratford Motor Lodge) On Sept.1, a male, 23, of Falls Church; and a female, 22, of McLean, were arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Driving Under the Influence, and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 600 block Hillwood Ave. On Sept. 2, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 34, of Alexandria, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, and Weapons Violation, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On Sept. 3, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 43, of Woodbridge, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, and Possession of a Concealed Weapon.

Public Drunkenness, Assault and Battery, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, 300 W. Broad St. (Stratford Motor Lodge) On Sept. 3, a male, 36, of Woodbridge, was arrested for Public Drunkenness, Assault and Battery, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
