Sometimes choosing to eat outside is a little change of pace, a chance to catch some fresh air and enjoy pleasant weather.
At Clare and Don’s Beach Shack, a festively outfitted patio turns outdoor dining into a getaway. Tall palm trees sprout from planters surrounding neon-toned tables and chairs. A lifeguard chair, hanging surfboards, and other quirky beach decor drive the beach theme home.
“It’s like an island oasis in the middle of Falls Church City,” Clare and Don’s co-owner David Tax said.
Live music performances on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays provide patio entertainment for all ages in the earlier dinner hours, and rocking tunes and an on-site bar encourage patrons to let their hair down and enjoy a beach vacation late into the night.
