McLean High Grad Picked for Kennedy Center Internship

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts selected Corbin Rugh for its prestigious internship program. This summer, she is serving as the Washington National Opera education intern at the Kennedy Center as part of the DeVos Institute of Arts Management.

Corbin, the daughter of Kathleen and Timothy Rugh, is a native of McLean and graduated from McLean High School. She is a rising senior at James Madison University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal music education. Corbin serves as vice president and treasurer of the JMU chapter of the American Choral Directors’ Association. She is also the undergraduate assistant to the director of Choral Activities.
