F.C. High Swimmer Named All-American

Falls Church High School swimmer Laura Schwartz was just named as an All American for the 200-yard individual medley on the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association 2011-12 All-America Swimmers and Divers list for her times posted in that event this past season.

It was a record-breaking season for Schwartz, who currently holds records in seven out of 12 events for which her district and school hold records.

During the AAA state swim competition at George Mason University in February, the then junior medaled and took third place in the 500-yard freestyle and fifth place in the 200-yard individual medley.
