F.C. Police Receive Report of Suspicious Person

The City of Falls Church Police Department received report today of suspicious activity that had occurred in the 900 block of Park Avenue.

According to a news release from the City of Falls Church, at approximately 8:40 a.m. on July 11, a young woman was walking westbound on the sidewalk along Park Avenue when an unknown individual heading the same way slowed his vehicle, asked her “are you going up there?” and pointed west on Park Avenue, and asked the young woman if she wanted to get in his car. The victim shook her head and said no. The suspect again asked if she was certain she didn’t want to get into his car. The victim shook her head and looked away, at which time the suspect sped off.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue or gray short sleeve shirt. The vehicle in question is described as a run-down, dusty blue, 4-door vehicle, possibly a Volvo, with Virginia plates.
