UPDATE, 1:05 p.m.: The Falls Church City Council will meet tonight at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall. The induction of new Council members and election of mayor and vice mayor will take place. The reception previously scheduled to celebrate the event is now canceled.

In the City of Falls Church, Aurora House, the Property Yard, and the Community Center are open. City Hall and the Library are closed.
UPDATE, 9:40 p.m.: The Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St., will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with air conditioning and power strips to charge cell phones.
UPDATE, 6:47 p.m.: According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, more than 100 traffic lights are out across Northern Virginia. VDOT reminds drivers to treat intersections without operating lights as four-way stops, and to use caution when driving. 231,818 Dominion customers in Northern Virginia are without power.
UPDATE, 4:48 p.m.: Merrifield is no longer included in the boil advisory; Tysons Corner, Vienna and Dunn Loring are still included. The following City streets are closed to through traffic due to downed trees and/or wires: Great Falls St. from Lincoln Ave. to Little Falls St., E. Columbia St. from N. Washington St. to N. Underwood St., and S. Oak St. from W. Broad St. to Fellow Ct. Drivers should use caution in the following areas because of storm-related issues: N. Underwood St. at 11th St., E. Jefferson St. from N. Washington St. to the 500 block of E. Jefferson, N. Cherry St. at E. Columbia St., N. Virginia Ave. at Great Falls St., Parker Ave. at Timber Ln., 400 block of Jackson St., 100-200 block of Rosemary Ln., 1300 block Robinson Pl., 600 block Knollwood Dr., 600 block S. Spring St., and 1000 block Madison Ln.
UPDATE, 2:15 p.m.: 256,101 Dominion customers in Northern Virginia still without power. Those in the boil advisory area served by the Falls Church Water Utility (Tysons Corner, Vienna, Dunn Loring and Merrifield) should be prepared to boil water until Monday night.
UPDATE, 10:30 a.m.: According to a situation report from the Virginia Emergency Operations Center this morning, six deaths (two in Fairfax County) and 12 injuries have been reported in connection with the recent severe weather.
UPDATE, (Sunday) 10:16 a.m.: According to Dominion Power’s online outage summary, 284,732 Dominion customers in the Northern Virginia area are without electricity.
UPDATE, 10:24 p.m.: The Falls Church Water Utility is advising water customers in portions of Tysons Corner, Vienna, Dunn Loring and Merrifield to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution.

UPDATE, 9:20 p.m.: According to Dominion Power’s online outage summary, 348,118 Dominion customers in the Northern Virginia area are without electricity of its nearly 832,000 customers.
UPDATE, 3:49 p.m.: According to the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, this the biggest non-hurricane-related power outage to ever affect the state, and the fifth biggest overall.
