Former F.C. High Laxer Keith Long Goes Pro

Keith Long has been drafted by the Rochester Rattlers professional lacrosse team in the Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft.

Long was a three-sport athlete at Falls Church High School, playing football, basketball and lacrosse. The Scholar Athlete recipient earned All-District honors during his time at FCHS, and went on to play for the Virginia Military Institute.

This past season, Long earned a team-best 24 goals for the Keydets while adding 18 assists for 42 points, besting his 2011 total of 40. Long became a member of VMI’s 100-point club and graduated this year with 55 career goals and 52 assists for 107 points.

Long’s efforts this season were recognized by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference coaches, who named him First Team All-MAAC this year.

Long is ranked fifth all-time in VMI history for MAAC points and assists as well as sixth in total goals.
