VHSL VICTORIES: Mason Girls Soccer Wins State Title; Boys Tennis Sweeps

It was a winning weekend for George Mason High School at the VHSL state championships at Radford University.

Both the girls soccer team and the boys tennis team brought home state titles.

It was the fifth time in a row that the girls soccer team brought home the trophy, won with a 4-0 victory over Graham High School.

The tennis team dominated state-level competition. Not only did the team win the championship by defeating Glenvar High School, 5-0, but Mason’s doubles team and singles player both brought home trophies. Junior Tommy Weber and senior Karl Campanella-Dysart won the doubles championship, and senior Kan Tagami defended his title in the singles championship.
