ONCE AGAIN The News-Press asked Falls Church to bring its wackiest hats to the Memorial Day celebration.

A strong showing came from Jimmy and Yvonne Jung, who brought their goldfish along for the ride in helmet-mounted aquariums; Rebecca Prather, whose museum-like headpiece featured a collection of the many photos she’s taken here in the City and abroad; and Jorene Stull, who stacked a sombrero with items in an F.C. Memorial Day Parade theme. First-place, though, went to Mara Polanek, for her flower-packed hat titled “Polanek Posey Patch.” (Photos: News-Press)
