Longfellow Students Visit Justice Ginsburg in Chambers

Seventh grade history classes from Longfellow Middle School recently visited Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in her chambers.

Ginsburg spoke to the students about the increasing presence of women on the Court, as well as her dissent in the Lilly Ledbetter case, which led to a change in the law to provide more equal treatment for women in the workplace.

Prior to meeting with Ginsburg, students were given a tour and lecture on both the courtroom and the west conference room.
