Barb Cram Wins Top Honor from VPIS

cramBarb Cram was awarded the Village Preservation and Improvement Society Spirit of Falls Church award, its highest honor, at its spring meeting last Sunday. Cram is pictured above receiving the award from Barry Buschow, VPIS awards chairman.

The Spirit of Falls Church award is given in recognition to an individual or couple for their long-term service to multiple spheres of community life that has resulted in the enrichment, enhancement or significant protection of the quality of life in Falls Church. Cram’s contribution, has added to the fabric of the City of Falls Church. The award was in recognition of her work as president of Falls Church Arts; president of the Falls Church Cable Access Board; co-chair of the Humanities Council, City of Arts, Theater, Culture, and History; project lead for Arbor Day Commons in Frady Park; chair of the Falls Church Committee of the Virginia 2007 Celebration of America’s 400th Anniversary; primary organizer Watch Night; key contributor to the Decorate A Vet program; member of the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; member of the Tricentennial Committee; and the many other things she does for the City of Falls Church.
