Tea to Celebrate Wedding Anniversary of Riley & Styles

Cherry Hill Farmhouse and the Victorian Society at Falls Church are hosting a wedding breakfast tea at noon Saturday Sunday to celebrate the 150th wedding anniversary of Mary E. Riley and Samuel H. Styles, who were married on June 6, 1892.

Mary was the oldest daughter of Joseph Riley whose family lived at Cherry Hill from the 1870s until the time it became a City-owned museum. The multi-course tea will include a presentation on Victorian wedding customs and an exhibit of traditional Victorian wedding presents, trousseau, and vintage wedding gowns. The cost is $35 per person and all proceeds benefit Cherry Hill Farmhouse. For more information, call Diane Morse at 703-248-5171.
