Art is Out and About with FCA Plein Air Festival

Seeing people painting outside? That’s because Falls Church is having its third annual Falls Church Arts Plein Air Festival. Painters can be seen all over town, taking advange of painting – as the French translation suggests – in “open air.”

The Plein Air Festival will have a reception, judging and awards ceremony June 23 at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 S. Maple Ave., Falls Church.

Falls Church Arts invites all artists to participate in the festival. Those taking part can compete for cash prizes like The Don Beyer Volvo-KIA Plein Air Prize of $500, The President’s Prize of $250, and the $250 prize awarded by Realtor Tori McKinney and TigerWolf Pictures. Other prizes and awards will be given for this event which focus on scenes in the City of Falls Church.
