MEH Musicians Take Honors at Showcase Festival

Seventh grade chorus and band members from Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School performed last Saturday in the Music Showcase Festival near Hershey, Penn. There were 52 chorus students, 53 band students, and 22 chaperones, along with Chorus Director Lauren Glass and Band Director Connie Jenkins.

Both the chorus and the band earned Superior ratings for their performances. The band earned second place out of four in their performance class. The chorus earned first place in their class. They were honored with an award for Outstanding Baritone Vocal Section. The chorus was awarded the Over-All Award for the highest score in all the choral categories for the festival.
