Father & Son Team Up For Art & Music Event

Bill Abel will join his son, Matt, in a joint music and art event set for Thursday.

Bill Abel will be unveiling his new watercolors in the Pearson Square main lobby, 410 S. Maple Ave., Falls Church, from 5 – 7 p.m. His son’s band, GUAVA, will perform at the event.

GUAVA is a jazz quartet composed of students from George Mason and George C. Marshall high schools – Matt Abel, Tyler Waters, Chris Almeidad and Ethan Davis.

All of the quartet’s performers are continuing students of Mark Deffenbaugh of the Columbia Institute of Fine Arts.
