Farmers’ Market Chef Demo Series Kicks off Saturday

A new round of chef demonstrations hosted at the Falls Church Farmers’ Market will kick off this Saturday with a demonstration by Willow Restaurant. Willow’s Tracy O’Grady will create a seasonal favorite with the produce in the market. This time, O’Grady will make asparagus crepes with ricotta mousse and sautéed strawberries. As with all demonstrations, recipes and tasting will be available from 9 – 11 a.m.

Scheduled for this season of the demonstration series is 2941’s Bertrand Chemel on May 19, Falls Church High School Culinary Arts on June 16, Rustico’s Steve Mannino on July 14, Pizzeria Orso’s Chris Nye on Aug.18, and Bonnie Moore, culinary director of Willowsford, on Sept. 15.

The farmers’ market is open Saturdays in the City Hall parking lot, 300 Park Ave., Falls Church.
