Falls Church Announces Schedule for Budget Deliberations

The City of Falls Church is developing the Fiscal Year 2013 (FY13) budget. City Manager Wyatt Shields will present the proposed FY13 City budget and Capital Improvements Program (CIP) to the City Council on Monday, March 12, at the regular meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall (300 Park Ave.).

An important part of budget development is citizen input. Town Hall meetings are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, and Saturday, April 14, in the Community Center (223 Little Falls St.). At the Town Hall meetings, Superintendent Jones and City Manager Shields will present a brief overview of the proposed school and general government budgets. The public will then have an opportunity to make suggestions and ask questions. The public may also submit City budget suggestions via email to budget@fallschurchva.gov.
