5.7% Turnout in GOP Primary in F.C., Romney Wins

With just 498 of the City of Falls Church’s 8,673 registered voters going to the polls for the Republican presidential primary Tuesday, Mitt Romney prevailed with 314 votes to 178 for Ron Paul, the only other name on the ballot. Romney, who won handily statewide, won in all five F.C. voting precincts in what was the last election in the City with five polling locations. The number will be reduced to three beginning with the next election, the Falls Church municipal election May 1.
