Services Saturday for Former Mt. Daniel Teacher

Alice B. Nelson of Fairfax passed away on February 19, 2012. She was a retired kindergarten teacher at Mt. Daniel School in Falls Church.

Beloved wife of the late Rev. Gordon Nelson (former minister at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church) for 34 years she was the loving mother of Mark Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, David Nelson (Nadia) and Lee Nelson and cherished grandmother of Aliyah and Ben Nelson. The family will receive friends at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 2006 Belle View Boulevard, Alexandria, on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will be on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery, South Hill, Virginia. Friends may gather at the Crowder Hite Crews Funeral Home, 1504 N. Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill, at 12:30 p.m. for a procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Church World Service.
