Jon Wayne Klein, 68, of Winchester, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Winchester Medical Center. Jon was a 1961 graduate of George Mason High School in Falls Church. He was known by his family and friends for his competitive spirit and his deep intellectual curiosity, and his hobbies over the years ranging from running triathlons to amateur photography to the close study of religious history. Jon loved to sing and performed at various venues in both Winchester and Northern Virginia under the stage name “Jon Wayne.”

Jon is survived by his loving wife Charlotte Momsen Klein; daughter Christine Klein (David Hopler); son Jon Anthony Klein (Denise); daughter Michelle Angelos (Thomas); seven grandchildren; sister Carol Ann Klein; brother James Klein (Terry); and many other family and friends who loved him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sherando High School in Stephens City, on Sunday, March 4, from 1 – 5 p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jon’s memory to the Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging (SAAA) of Front Royal (shenandoahaaa.com). Tributes can be seen at ompsfuneralhome.com.
