F.C.’s EDA Issues $2,500 Grant for Wammies

The City of Falls Church Economic Development Authority (EDA) announced a $2,500 grant to sponsor the 26th Annual Washington Area Music Association Awards Show – known as the “Wammies” – at Falls Church’s State Theatre on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012. The event draws hundreds of DC-area music industry attendees to the City each year. The Wammies recognizes significant career achievements by area musicians and, in the process, raises awareness of the DC-area music scene in a night of entertainment and celebration.

“The Falls Church EDA is excited to participate again as a sponsor of the Wammies. We encourage those attending this great event also to enjoy the City’s excellent selection of restaurants and night spots on Wammie night and throughout the year,” said David Tarter, EDA chairman.
