Bike Club Shutters Temporarily Amid Building Safety Concerns

Bike Club, the bicycle sales and repair shop located at 438 S. Washington Street, has closed temporarily to address some building safety concerns by the City of Falls Church.

The shop is owned and operated by Phuoc Van Pham a champion kick boxer and expert bike assembler who was named by the Bicycle Exchange as its “Mechanic of the Year” in 1990. The shop, which has been in its current location for almost 20 years, is best known for repairs but it also sells hybrid, mountain and BMX bikes, road bikes which are usually custom build-ups, and used bikes. The shop will be closed during renovations and expects to be open within the next two months.
