City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for December 13 – 19, 2011

Larceny from Building, 400 block E. Broad St. On Dec. 13, an unknown suspect(s) stole an unsecure bicycle from the victim’s residence.

Graffiti, 1102 W. Broad St. (Murphy’s Funeral Home) On Dec. 15, grafitti was found on the exterior side walls of the building.

Narcotics Violation, Driving Under the Influence, and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 200 block E. Fairfax St. On Dec. 16, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 42, of Arlington, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Narcotics Violation, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Dec. 16, a male, 44, of Arlington, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine.

Felony Shoplifting, 1150 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On Dec. 17, a male, 35, of Arlington, was arrested for Felony Shoplifting.

Public Drunkenness, 201 S. Washington St. (7-Eleven) On Dec. 17, a male, 36, of Fairfax, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Liquor Law Violation, 1053 W. Broad St. (Enkhee Trade) On Dec. 18, a male, of Williamsburg, 36, was arrested for Possession of Alcohol Without a License on Premises.

Driving Under the Influence and Public Drunkenness, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On Dec. 18, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a female, 27, of Washington, DC, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. The passenger, a female, 28, of Arlington, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Driving Under the Influence, 6600 block Wilson Blvd. On Dec. 18, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 38, of Arlington, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Larceny from Building, 400 block W. Broad St. On Dec.18, a victim reported that an unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s personal storage unit and stole a DVD player and various personal items. There was no evidence of forced entry.

Felony Shoplifting, 1212 W. Broad St. (VABC Store) On Dec. 18, the business reported that an unknown suspect stole liquor bottles from the store on Dec. 3 and 4. The suspect was later identified as a male, 35, of Arlington. He was arrested for two counts of Felony Shoplifting.

Larceny from Vehicle, 100 block N. Washington St. On Dec. 18, an unknown suspect(s) broke windows to two vehicles and stole a purse and a laptop computer.

Vandalism, 1400 block S. West St. On Dec. 18, an unknown suspect(s) damaged the windshield to the victim’s parked vehicle.

Narcotics Violation, 1000 block Fowler St. On Dec. 19, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. A male, 18, of the City of Falls Church; and a female, 19, of the City of Falls Church, were arrested for Possession of Marijuana.

Shoplifting, 100 W. Broad St. (Brown’s Hardware) On Dec. 19, an unknown suspect(s) stole a chain link.
