E. Coli Found in NoVa Water Prompts Public Meeting

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality will host a public meeting next week on water quality in Sugarland Run, Mine Run and Pimmit Run.

Levels of E. coli bacteria in portions of Sugarland Run, Mine Run, and Pimmit Run exceed Virginia water quality standards, and guests are invited to attend the meeting and learn what the Commonwealth of Virginia is doing to address this problem.

The meeting is set for Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Great Falls Library Meeting Room, 9830 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls. For more information, call 703-583-3804.
