Change Would Keep Homes Out of ‘Transitional’ Areas

The F.C. City Council will consider a zoning change that would prohibit construction of single family or two-family residential units in “transitional” zones of the City between commercial and residential areas. The measure would encourage “studio (efficiency) and one-bedroom apartments when located above retail, commercial or office uses on the first and second floors of a new development in the “transitional” areas.
