Veterans Commons Work Goes On in Michalowski’s Name

The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, in keeping with the wishes of the late Leonard S. Michalowski, has announced that Boy Scout Troop 895 has adopted Veterans Commons.

Veterans Commons, located at Little Falls Street and the Washington and Old Dominion Trail has become a landmark on the W&OD.

NVRPA and Troop 895 wish to continue the work Michalowski started, honoring all veterans, by maintaining and preserving Veterans Commons.

Troop 895 will have a ceremony to raise the flag at Veterans Common on Friday, Nov 11, at 7:30 a.m. The troop has received a flag flown over the Capitol for this purpose. The public is invited to this ceremony.
