Fairfax Partnership for Youth Plans 2 Nov. Activities

Fairfax Partnership for Youth has planned two community events for this month to promote its mission to lead the Fairfax-area community to embrace positive, sustainable solutions to youth challenges.

On Thursday Nov. 10, a mentoring summit will be held at the James Lee Community Center from 1 – 3 p.m. To revitalize youth mentoring in the area, leaders from many Chambers of Commerce are encouraging their members to attend. Gerry Connolly will be keynote speaker. Mentoring providers such as Northern Virginia Family Service and the Fairfax County Schools Mentorworks will provide details about their programs.

On Saturday, Nov. 12, guests can enjoy an art sale and reception in the 18th-floor Club Room of the Park Crest in McLean.

Admission is free to each event, but those interested in attending should register online at fairfaxyouth.org.
