The News-Press has learned that the legal defense team of Falls Church City activist Michael Gardner plans to issue a press release today refuting certain media reports linking Gardner to DNA test results in the child sexual abuse case against him. According to News-Press sources, the Gardner defense will contend that the results of new “touch DNA” methods show that while Gardner’s cells are present in two places on the clothing of the alleged victims of the June 2011 incidents, that semen discovered on the clothing of one of the alleged victims is conclusively not his.
