F.C. Man Wins Public Service Award from Saint John’s

Al Eisele, of Falls Church, the editor-at-large of The Hill, has been awarded a Eugene J. McCarthy Distinguished Public Service Award by the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. He is a 1958 graduate.

Eisele helped found the nonpartisan newspaper covering Congressional affairs in 1994, and left his post as editor in 2005.

Eisele is also a winner of the American Political Science Association Award for Distinguished Reporting of Public Affairs, and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize three times.
