Humane Society to Give Animal Welfare Info in Meeting

The Virginia Federation of Humane Societies is holding public meetings around the state to educate the public about animal welfare statistics related to the number of animals euthanized each year in each region, county and municipality as well as how members of the community can help reduce pet overpopulation and euthanasia rates.

One such meeting will be held Wednesday, October 12, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, 2650 S. Arlington Mill Drive, Arlington. For more information, call 703-931-9241.
