FALLS CHURCH RESIDENTS and passers-by on Route 7 were surprised to see a large sign in front of Bedo’s Leatherworks at 412 W. Broad St. today advertising a new gun shop at the site. NOVA Firearms has relocated to the second floor of the Bedo’s building as of today. The company, with Dennis Pratte as its president, says on its website that it is “federal firearms licensed” and offers a full set of services, including lessons. Sally Cole, executive director of the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce, whose offices are located directly across the street, said she was unaware of the business, which apparently was previously located at 712 W. Broad, until she saw the sign appear today. She subsequently reported that the shop is owned by two police officers and an FBI agent. (Photo: News-Press)
