Mustang Football Offense Stalls in the Mud, Falls to Falcons 36-7

The George Mason Mustangs varsity football team fell to 1-3 on the season with their 36-7 loss to the Central-Woodstock Falcons this past Friday night. The Falcons were celebrating senior night and the crowd as well as the team came out fired up.

The Mustangs offense never got going as the muddy field conditions and a stout Falcons defense held them to 86 total yards for the game. The lone Mustangs highlight was a fourth quarter touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Grant Hagler to senior Dimitrios Venets with 30 seconds left in the game.

The Mustangs will be back at home this Friday night when they will host Madison County High School at 7:30 p.m.
