F.C. Select Basketball Tryouts Set for Oct.

The Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department is holding tryouts for its select basketball teams.

Those living in the following zip codes are eligible: 22032, 22041, 22042, 22043, 22044, 22046 and 22066.

Girls tryouts will be held at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St., Falls Church.

Tryout sessions are Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 – 10:30 a.m.; Monday, Oct. 3, from 6 – 7:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Oct. 6, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. for the fifth-grade team.

Tryouts for the seventh-grade team are Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon – 1:30 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 3, from 7:30 – 9 p.m.; and Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 6 – 7:30 p.m.

Tryouts for the boys sixth-grade team are Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the George Mason Aux Gym; Thursday, Oct. 13, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the George Mason Main Gym; and Saturday, Oct. 15, from noon – 1:30 p.m. at the community center.

The seventh-grade team will have tryouts Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10:30 a.m. – noon in the Falls Church Community Center; Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 7:30 – 9 p.m. in the George Mason Aux Gym; and Thursday, Oct. 6, from 7:30 – 9 p.m. in the George Mason Main Gym.

George Mason High School is located at 7124 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church.
