Citizens, neighbors and friends teamed up last Saturday to render service in eight different locations: Homestretch, Falls Church Housing Corporation, The Falls Church Winter Homeless Shelter, Winter Hill Community Gardens, Don Frady Park, two individual homes in the City of Falls Church, and D.C. Central Kitchen.
That day, 198 volunteers put in 667 service hours at the various locations, from replacing ceiling tiles at the homeless shelter to shoveling sand to be taken to Frady Park. Above, there were 86 volunteers at Homestretch from about 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Photo: Courtesy Barb Cram)
