Composting for Beginners is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 – 10:30 a.m. (rain or shine) at the Cherry Hill Park Picnic Shelter, 312 Park Ave., Falls Church. Participants will learn to make rich organic compost from yard trimmings and leaves. The program will include a composting demonstration, making compost tea, proper food waste composting and vermicomposting (composting with worms).
