Volunteers Needed in F.C. for Service Day

Governor Robert McDonnell called for Sept. 24 to be recognized as a service day, and there will be service activities planned in Falls Church that day. Organized by some local citizens and faith-based community members, groups will be performing service at the following locations in the City: Homestretch, The Winter Homeless Shelter and The Community Gardens at Winter Hill.

All are invited to help at the locations listed or other locations that are being identified. Much of the work is outside and participation for even a short period of time between 9 -1 p.m. will make a big difference. For more information, email Barb Cram at littlecityvolunteers@gmail.com.
