Bishop O’Connell High Coach Honored in Community Mass

The Bishop O’Connell High School community gathered on the morning of Sept. 2 for its first all-school Mass, celebrated in special remembrance of football coach Steve Trimble who passed away unexpectedly this summer.

In honor of Coach Trimble, an alumni funded scholarship was established and named the “Spirit of O’Connell” scholarship. This award recognizes a junior whose character and personal contributions to the O’Connell community closely mirror the legacy of Coach Trimble. At the conclusion of the morning ceremony, junior Emily Lodge was awarded the first “Spirit of O’Connell” scholarship.
