Celebration Set for 126th Birthday of School Namesake

The public is invited to join Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, in a celebration the 126th anniversary of the birth of Mary Ellen Henderson, namesake of the Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School. There will be ice cream, birthday cake and games for guests, who will also learn more about her life and meet her family members and students.

Guests will also be able to visit the historic home where she lived for over 50 years.

The free event will be held Sunday at the Henderson House, located at 307 S. Maple Ave., Falls Church, from 3 – 5 p.m. For more information, call 703-534-4627.
