Virginia Gov. McDonnell: Report Road Closings By Calling 511

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell confirmedtonight that almost 800,000 households in Virginia are now out of power and that as of 8 p.m., another 3-6 hours of hurricane-level activity can be expected. He urged the public to call 511 with reports of road and street closings due to downed trees, etc., and to reserve 911 calls for genuine emergencies, and 211 calls for non-emergency matters.
