City Urges Preparation Before Hurricane Irene

The City of Falls Church issued a press release Wednesday afternoon urging residents to take the proper precautions before the anticipated winds and flooding from Hurricane Irene beginning this Saturday through Sunday.

Residents are encouraged to start preparations now and have an emergency kit. Updated information reagarding the storm will be available on the City of F.C.’s web site at www.fallschurchva.gov and on the City’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CityofFallsChurch. Both will be updated frequently with government service updates.

Citizens are also encouraged to sign up for alert.fallschurchva.gov to receive local emergency updates.
