Northrup Grumman Corp. started moving staff into its new headquarters in Fairview Park over the weekend and expects to be fully operational by August 22. The global security contractor decided to move its headquarters from California to the Washington, D.C. Metro area in order to be closer to the Federal Government, its primary source of business.

The new headquarters will employ approximately 500 people, more than 100 of whom have relocated from Northrop’s Century City offices to Falls Church.
