Famous Dave’s Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que will be offering free samples at two events over the weekend to provide locals with a taste of their offerings prior to the restaurant’s August 29 opening in Broaddale Plaza at the end of the month.
On Friday, August 5, ribs will be available from 6-8 p.m. while supplies last at the FIRSTfriday of Falls Church events taking place at 111 Park Avenue. On Saturday, samples will be available from noon to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the restaurant founded by “Famous” Dave Anderson, soon-to-open new location at 370 W. Broad Street. The company owns and franchises 183 restaurants in 37 states, and is known for its on-premise real pit smokers where the BBQ is slow-smoked for up to 10 hours over hickory wood. Famous Dave’s has won more 500 national and regional awards for everything from best ribs to best Bar-B-Que sauce.
