Fairfax Republicans Announce Postpone of Capitol Hill Fundraiser

The result of an adjournment of the U.S. House of Representatives tonight following its vote in favor of the “debt ceiling deal,” Fairfax County GOP Chair Anthony Bedell announced that a scheduled gala fundraiser to support the county committee and county GOP campaigns in this November’s elections has been postponed. The event was to be held on Capitol Hill tomorrow night, featuring GOP House Majority Leader and Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor.

Bedell issued a letter to county GOP supporters tonight that the event has been postponed until sometime next month at a time yet to be determined. “I am disappointed we had to postpone, but I think we all understand why the House will adjourn this evening,” Bedell wrote.
